Ken Paxton Is So Awful That His Own Lawyer Endorsed James Talarico

Corrupt Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has Donald Trump’s backing, but he’s so awful that his own defense attorney has endorsed his Democratic opponent, James Talarico, for US Senate.

Prior to Republicans sweeping his crimes under the rug, Paxton was being impeached, with attorney Dan Cognell leading his defense team. Cognell had even recently donated to Paxton’s campaign for Senate. But that’s apparently changed now, according to NOTUS Media.

Cogdell told the outlet that Paxton “has lost sight of his core mission, which is to represent the people of Texas.”

Indeed, Paxton’s mission is to serve Trump’s interests, which is how he got Trump’s endorsement during his primary race against incumbent Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas). Paxton kissed the ring of the most corrupt president in American history, and when you combine that with his many scandals as Texas Attorney General, it’s pretty clear which candidate is truly fighting for the people.

“And unlike Ken, I believe to my core that James Talarico believes in unity over division and that he knows how to assemble not only Democrats, but Independents and Republicans, and we need that right now,” Cogdell said.

Talarico himself gave a shout-out to Cogdell in a statement welcoming him and other dissatisfied Republicans to join his campaign.

“If you voted for John Cornyn, you have a place in this campaign,” Talarico said. “If you’re a Republican tired of the corruption you’re seeing in government, you have a place in this campaign. Even if you’re Ken Paxton’s impeachment lawyer, you have a place in this campaign.”

If even Paxton’s own former defense attorney can see that he’s a corrupt Trump bootlicker who will do nothing but serve Trump instead of fighting for the people of Texas, everyone else should come to this realization as well. Talarico is the people’s candidate. Paxton is Trump’s.
