Lauren Boebert will do whatever you want for $250 — assuming it’s within the allowable actions on the platform Cameo, where celebrities, pseudo-celebrities, influencers, and others allow people to purchase personalized videos for themselves and their friends. While you might not get Boebert to do something as exciting as her creepy video debut at the Beetlejuice musical, this has the potential to be quite amusing.
Boebert, like disgraced former Congressman George Santos and other washed-up conservatives, has turned to Cameo as a means of making some extra cash. According to her profile on the site, you can book the 37-year-old grandmother and “family values” advocate for a “happy birthday” message, ask her a question, or receive a pep talk — much like the one the judge gave her son after he committed identity theft. Boebert also offers per-message texting services.
“Hey, Cameo, it’s your girl from Colorado, Lauren Boebert,” she says in a video introducing her side-grift. “Whether you or someone you know needs an America First pep talk, if you want to surprise friends or family with a message for a special day, or if you just want to know my thoughts on whatever’s on your mind, Cameo is the place to connect with me.”
You might wonder if Boebert can pimp out her likeness legally while serving in Congress. As long as she makes less than $31,815 from the venture, she absolutely can according to House ethics rules.
So why should we care about this? It’s not monumentally important, but it can lead to some hilarious videos. Former Congressman George Santos joined Cameo and accidentally congratulated the National Man-Boy Love Association on its anniversary and thanked the organization for all the good it does.
He also congratulated a “beavapuss” on coming out as a furry — another video that is comedy gold. What sort of videos will Boebert shamelessly make for anyone who has $250? Who knows? While they may not be as epic as her public handjerber/groping video at the Beetlejuice musical, we’re sure they will be pretty hilarious.
