Trump Shamelessly Uses Death Of Lindsey Graham To Push His Voter Suppression Bill

Despite failing multiple times to get his so-called SAVE America Act passed in the Senate so he can rig the 2026 midterm election, Donald Trump is now resorting to using the death of Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) to push it again.

Graham unexpectedly died Saturday night after what his office referred to as a “brief and sudden illness,” as the country continues to demand answers on the life or death status of Senator Mitch McConnell (R-Ky), who has not been seen for weeks.

But Graham’s body was not even cold before Trump decided to use it as a political prop to lobby for the passage of his voter suppression bill during a Sunday morning phone call on Meet the Press after bragging about how he may have had the last phone call with Graham.

“So what makes it even stranger is that I got a call last night sometime in the early evening and he called and said ‘we’re all set for the SAVE America Act,’ – he was pushing the SAVE America Act like crazy,” Trump claimed 

“He said he just landed from Ukraine – I said, ‘that’s a long trip to make!’ He sounded a little tired, but perfect – but a little bit tired,” Trump continued. “He had a right to be; he was a worker; he was really a worker. But he sounded great, actually. But he actually said he was tired.”

Trump then pitched his voter suppression bill one last time.

“He wanted to pass the SAVE America Act, and I said, ‘We’re gonna get it done, Lindsey, I’ll see you soon.’ We thought maybe we might even meet today,” Trump said.

Donald Trump is pathetic. The Senate has already failed to pass his voter suppression bill multiple times, but now he is trying to literally guilt Senate Republicans into jamming it through by any means necessary.

Every word that Trump said during this interview is likely a lie. He had to make himself seem important by laying claim to the idea that he was the last person to speak with Lindsey Graham. Then he heavily promoted the SAVE Act and claimed Graham supposedly had it all set to somehow pass.

As usual, it’s all a show to get what he wants, just like all those fake assassination attempts.
