Trump Shouts Equivalent Of ‘Allahu Akbar’ In Easter Weekend Threat To Iran

You know how Republicans accuse Muslims of being terrorists for shouting “Allahu Akbar?” Well, Donald Trump is shouting the Christian extremist equivalent as he threatens more terrorism against Iran.

Trump’s Iran war is going badly. 13 Americans are dead. Over 300 have been wounded. Our allies are turning against us. Military and civilian infrastructure across the region has been destroyed in retaliatory attacks. Oil and gas prices are also skyrocketing. And now American fighter jets are being shot down.

As the Easter holiday approaches, one would think Trump would welcome it as a distraction from his war failures. Disturbingly, that was not the case as he chose to threaten Iran on social media while invoking God as if he were waging a holy war.

“Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT,” Trump wrote on Saturday. “Time is running out – 48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them. Glory be to GOD!”

Of course, Trump used “reign” instead of “rain,” but the most egregious part of his post was signing off by invoking God in a way that would remind every American of a jihadist screaming “Allahu Akbar” before detonating a suicide bomb in an act of terrorism.

This comparison was not lost on University of Albany professor Christopher Clary, who made the same observation.

“Trump [is] only one month into his Middle East war and he’s already signing off his tweets with Allahu Akbar,” Clary wrote. “Allahu Akbar” loosely translates from Arabic to English as “God is great.”

Keep in mind that military service members are already filing complaints alleging that their commanders are comparing Trump to Jesus and saying that war with Iran is meant to trigger the apocalypse. Pete Hegseth has repeatedly forced religious dogma into the Pentagon. This is a government of fake Christians using religion to justify terrorism. And it needs to be stopped before they get everyone killed.
