Donald Trump’s threat to “annihilate” Iran drew a call from former Fox News host Tucker Carlson for the Cabinet to remove him under the 25th Amendment.
The threat, which appears to suggest the use of nuclear weapons against Iran, came during Trump’s insane remarks at the United Nations. It’s a threat that Trump has previously made several times before, including once when he posted on social media that he will wipe out their civilization if he doesn’t get his way.
Trump started the unprovoked war with Iran in February and claimed it would be over in a matter of weeks. It’s been more than seven months now. American bases across the region have been destroyed.18 American troops are dead. The Strait of Hormuz remains closed. Oil and gas prices continue to skyrocket. Groceries cost more than when Trump took office, and inflation is higher as well.
In addition, our oil reserves are drying up, and the military is running out of missiles. Trump’s war with Iran has been a catastrophe for the United States. And now Trump is threatening nuclear war, the consequences of which would be even more devastating.
It’s too much even for Carlson, who once supported Trump. Now he’s calling for removing Trump via the 25th Amendment.
“It’s enough for me to say he should be removed from office. He should have been removed from office by his own Cabinet secretaries the moment he threatened a nuclear attack,” Carlson said. “He should have been bundled up and taken out. That’s a crime. There’s no greater crime than that.”
“Here you have a guy threatening to eliminate the human race and that’s not considered a crime?!” Carlson went on. “It tells you how deranged our moral scale has become. So he should be removed from office for threatening first-use nuclear strike.”
