Donald Trump’s anti-vaccination Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr (RFK Jr) humiliated himself during a Sunday interview on CNN in which host Dana Bash called him out for his anti-vaccination views that are putting children across the nation in danger.
RFK Jr is unfit to carry the Kennedy name and his father’s legacy. Ever since the MMR vaccine was invented, it has been saving millions of lives and nearly eradicated the kinds of deadly childhood diseases that once filled graveyards, such as measles. Sadly, measles has returned to our shores in force because of anti-vaccination nuts like RFK Jr, who erroneously claim vaccinations cause autism.
Multiple studies have repeatedly proven that there is no link between vaccinations and autism, including a large Danish study released last year that analyzed one million children born between 1997 and 2018. Yet, Kennedy continues to demonize vaccinations to the detriment of children in the United States, who are now at risk of contracting measles if their parents buy into his conspiracy theory nonsense.
The United States is experiencing a measles epidemic, with at least 2,300 cases across 45 states in 2026 so far. The virus had been declared eliminated in 2000, but that status is now slipping away. Measles kills thousands of people every year. In the United States, three people died in 2025, and all because anti-vaccination nuts are spreading misinformation and suppressing the vaccine.
On Sunday, RFK Jr appeared on CNN with Dana Bash and ended up in a shouting match as she repeatedly called him out for his anti-science views and the fact that this measles outbreak is happening on his watch.
At one point, Bash asked him if he takes responsibility for the outbreak, which he, of course, denied. Then she noted that he started urging parents to vaccinate their children against measles despite his anti-vaxxer views.
A visibly irritated RFK Jr told Bash that she doesn’t understand the situation because she’s “not a scientist.”
Bash fired back, “You’re not either!”
It’s true. He’s not a scientist. He’s a lawyer and former drug addict who is fascinated by roadkill and once had a worm in his brain. He’s unfit to serve as the Health Secretary and everyone knows it. Vaccines do NOT cause autism. Science has repeatedly proven it. If we want our country to be healthy, we should be listening to the science, not quacks like RFK Jr, whose own family wants nothing to do with him.
