CNN’s Kaitlan Collins Buries Trump After His ‘Joke’ About Her Flops At WHCD

Donald Trump thought he was being funny as he attacked CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Friday night. He flopped, but Collins still buried him the next day in response.

Three months after staging yet another “assassination” attempt that forced the postponement of this year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner, the event proceeded on Friday night without incident, unless you count Trump’s failed attempt to be funny.

Trump had to sit and watch as journalists received awards for their coverage of him and his administration, especially reports on his scandals. Collins also received an award after spending her time as part of the White House Press Pool grilling Trump with unflinching resolve. Trump has frequently attacked Collins and often complains that she doesn’t smile while doing her job.

Of course, it’s understandable why Collins wouldn’t feel like smiling for a disgusting pig like Trump, who is named repeatedly in the Epstein files as a rapist and pedophile.

When his turn to speak arrived, Trump spent an hour insulting comedy as the journalists and other guests in the room were relatively quiet. You can imagine hearing nothing but crickets after each failed attempt at comedy. It’s yet another example of why former President Barack Obama is better than Trump. At least he could tell a joke. Just ask Trump, who was the butt of several of them.

Trump also spent much of his time airing grievances as usual and attacked journalists, taking particular issue with Collins receiving an award and complaining that she doesn’t smile.

“I wanna personally congratulate CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on receiving her award; was all about me, it’s a fake, she shouldn’t get the award,” Trump said. “I said, ‘Kaitlan, do you ever smile? Smile. You have a nice position. You’re at CNN fake news. You should be a happy person. Just smile, Kaitlan.'”

Collins, ever the professional, waited until Saturday to subtly respond by pointing out that it’s important to ask questions that make the powerful uncomfortable and quoting former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, who once said that “no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”

These posts are clearly jabs at Trump, who is very uncomfortable with the questions that Collins asks. She is also telling him that he doesn’t intimidate her. Trump is going to be furious, and that’s funnier than anything he said on Friday night.
