As you may have heard, My Chemical Romance’s longest-serving drummer, Bob Bryar, has died. Some are mourning, but others who have looked into what sort of person he is are…not. Bryar wanted to “make America great again” by killing all Black people and other wildly horrible things. So some may not be quite so upset (or surprised) that the former My Chemical Romance Drummer tweeted hate speech and died.
Bryar joined My Chemical Romance after meeting the band on tour in 2004. He took over drums for the “Black Parade” album but quit the band in 2010. After failing to find success with other bands, he moved on to real estate — and hate.
Bryar’s tweets are mostly deleted now, but he was a regular user of Elon Musk’s propaganda network formerly known as Twitter. Bryar, whose account shows him in “MeetMe profile pic” sunglasses and a green MAGA hat, loved Donald Trump, advocated for the mass murder of Black folks who peacefully protested police violence, and really, really hated transgender people.
“I’m just happy we can use the word “TR*NNY” again,” Bryar said on Twitter (a platform we will deadname as long as Elon deadnames his daughter) just a month before his body was discovered. “I don’t care who hates me anymore. fight me.”
Apparently, God decided to fight him.
Like many MAGAs have and will, Bryar died alone and forgotten. He was last seen alive in person on November 4. He went nearly a month without anyone seeing him in person or checking on him. His body was discovered on November 26 when animal control showed up to take away his dogs for unspecified reasons. It’s not yet known how or when he died.
Bryar regularly deleted his tweets, many of which are quite offensive. During protests against police brutality targeting African Americans, Bryar tweeted that the “cops should get up and shoot everyone” and “just kill them all.” It’s unclear if he meant just protesters or all Black folks.
Bryar’s Twitter profile is scrubbed clean, with just a few tweets remaining — a supportive tweet for Linkin Park’s Scientologist lead vocalist who has previously fawned over convicted rapist Danny Masterson, and two names: “MEGYN” (apparently, Megyn “Jesus and Santa are both real and white, kids” Kelly), and “TULSI.” The latter, of course, references Trump’s pick for Director of National Intelligence and known Russian agent, Tulsi Gabbard.
These tweets were all sent on November 4, shortly after his deleted anti-trans post. Bryar was a detestable person who once spread joy through his music but chose to replace that with spewing hatred. He clearly will not be missed.
