If incel culture was a person, it would be white supremacist, misogynist, and Trump dinner guest Nick Fuentes. Fuentes is extremely popular in right-wing circles for obvious reasons. He’s a Holocaust-denying 26-year-old virgin who spends all his time appealing to the Call of Duty voice-chat demographic. Since the election, Fuentes has chosen a popular target among conservatives: women. And when he isn’t screeching “your body my choice” at women, Nick Fuentes mocks men who don’t threaten to r-pe them.
The phrase “your body my choice” has been thrown around in anti-circumcision circles on 4-Chan for quite some time. But after the 2024 election, it took on a whole new meaning among conservatives after Fuentes gleefully used the phrase to taunt women. In a separate video, he went even further.
“Henceforth, men will be controlling what you eat, what you wear, whether you can have an abortion, what your hair looks like, when and whether you can cut your hair,” Fuentes says in the video. “We’ll be controlling how much makeup you wear, what you do with your nails. We’ll be controlling who you have sex with. We’ll be controlling where you live and where you go, what time you go to bed. We’re gonna be controlling all of that and this is subject to the law according to Project 2025.” In another video, Fuentes vows that “we” will “keep women down” forever. “You will never control your own bodies,” he says.
Fuentes means it. Since he admits that no woman has ever been willing to touch him, the right-wing superstar genuinely feels that r-pe is necessary, expected, and proper — because he’s a delusional, small person so embroiled in incel culture that his brain has completely rotted. Fuentes, who openly fantasizes about taking a child bride “right when the milk is good,” was a major player in Donald Trump’s “Stop the Steal” scam, pushes “Great Replacement” theory (the idea that whites are being systematically replaced by what he views as lesser races), blames most of his problems on (((The Jews))), and has suggested a violent uprising much like the one on January 6 if lawmakers didn’t overturn the election. In short, he’s a typical conservative.
In yet another video, the self-described “proud incel” mocks men who don’t threaten to r-pe women. “A sweet, nice little guy that isn’t threatening, that isn’t gonna r-pe her. A sweet, nice innocent little guy with his hands between his legs who isn’t gonna r-pe her,” Fuentes says in a new demented video mocking men who don’t threaten to sexually abuse and assault women. “‘I would never r-pe you. You’re too beautiful. I would never beat the f*ck out of you. I would never hit you over the head with a boulder and drag you to my cave as my concubine. I love you too much. Aw, shucks.'”
One might be tempted to dismiss this as not being a common thought process among conservatives. But the fact is that this election hinged upon three ideas: that immigrants are subhuman, that trans people are subhuman, and that women (also subhuman) don’t deserve bodily autonomy. It was never about the price of eggs or “economic anxiety.” Unfortunately, we learned a lot about our country and the people in it — and one of those lessons was that Nick Fuentes is not a an extreme minority. Nick Fuentes is the face of conservatism.
