There’s not a bigger hypocrite in America than the one literally sh*tting himself inside the White House as Donald Trump fawns over Xi Jinping, the communist dictator of China, after spending the last several weeks accusing the Democrats of being communists.
As you may recall, Trump has repeatedly claimed that Democrats are communists, attacking them at every turn simply for supporting policies such as universal healthcare, affordable childcare, and increasing taxes on the wealthy.
He made the accusation a central part of his remarks on July 4th, and again during the Republican Convention in Texas earlier this month. In fact, Trump has made it a routine part of every speech he delivers, all while he directs the government to buy large stakes in private companies, which is a central tenet of communism. Oops.
This week, Trump’s hypocrisy went full tilt as he welcomed China’s Xi Jinping, an actual communist, to Washington DC. Trump not only slobbered over Jinping by singing his praises; he literally rolled out a red carpet for him, forced the military to parade for him, and arranged a gala in his honor.
You really can’t make this stuff up. Trump is literally bragging about palling around with communists like Xi Jinping of China and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un, all while he relentlessly attacks Democrats with accusations of communism and punishes non-communist countries like Canada with tariffs that have crippled American farmers and businesses here at home.
Once again, this is how Trump and the Republican Party operate. Every accusation is a confession. Democrats are not communists, but it sure looks like Republicans are. To top it off, just in case it wasn’t already clear, Trump even welcomed Chinese state-controlled media to cover the event while barring American networks CNN, MSNOW, and Politico from the White House. That’s how a communist dictator behaves.
Republicans should be ashamed of themselves, and so should their voters.
