Why Ambulances And Secret Service Drove Away From Mar-a-Lago

On Thursday, The Independent’s White House correspondent jumped the gun a bit when he announced that ambulances and Secret Service drove away from Mar-a-Lago. This led many to speculate that Donald Trump has died. Unfortunately for those hoping cholesterol had done its job, that is not the case.

“NOW: Per pool, 2 ambulances and several vans that appeared full of Secret Service have left Mar-a-Lago in the last few minutes,” he tweeted. “This is according to a note from the CBS tv pool crew near Palm Beach.”

Multiple ambulances, Secret Service, and a helicopter sounds serious. But Feinberg, in his haste to get the jump on a story, tossed everyone a big ole nothingburger. After starting panic and celebration depending on which outcome one hoped for, he tweeted, “CALM DOWN PEOPLE.”

Trump is perfectly fine. The ambulances were just part of J.D. Vance’s motorcade. Feinberg should be ashamed of himself for attempting to gaslight everyone into thinking they were somehow wrong for reacting to a sensationalist tweet he shot out before even bothering to check into it.
