Trump Threw Massive Temper Tantrum In Oval Office Over Failure In Iran

Donald Trump started an unprovoked war with Iran that has done great harm to the United States militarily and economically. Now he’s throwing temper tantrums in the Oval Office because it’s not going the way he wanted it to go.

Iran did nothing to warrant being attacked by our military. The Strait of Hormuz was already open, and oil was flowing through it, keeping gas prices manageable. By his own declaration, Trump had already supposedly destroyed Iran’s ability to produce a nuclear weapon, something they already were not doing anyway.

But because Trump desperately needed a distraction as his Epstein files scandal continued to grow, he launched an attack against Iran, raining bombs on the country, including one strike that murdered 165 innocent schoolgirls, a war crime that should carry heavy consequences for those who ordered the strike and those who carried it out.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that the war would be quick, only a few weeks. It’s now been several months. He has repeatedly declared that a ceasefire was forthcoming, only to call it off and resume the attacks, gaming the stock market along the way to enrich himself and his family.

Meanwhile, 18 American soldiers are dead because of Trump’s war. Prices at home continue to increase. And the Middle East is in worse shape than it was before February. Trump is a failure, and he knows it.

We know he knows it because the Wall Street Journal reports that he threw a temper tantrum over it inside the Oval Office. Trump referred to the Iranians as “scumbags” and “lunatics” as he went off on an expletive-filled tirade.

“Trump is increasingly frustrated that a conflict he once thought would be over in a matter of weeks has dragged on with no end in sight,” the publication reported. “Some of Trump’s advisers now worry that the war—which has resulted in higher prices, falling approval ratings and the deaths of more than a dozen U.S. service members—is consuming his presidency.”

Indeed, Trump has frequently referred to himself as a “dealmaker,” but he has never lived up to that boast. The best deal Trump could come up with after months of war and threats is a surrender deal that gave Iran more than $300 billion, far more than the amount Republicans threw a hissy fit about when former President Barack Obama agreed to give Iran $1.7 billion of their own money as part of the 2015 JCPOA agreement preventing Iran from pursuing a nuclear weapon, a framework Iran had been honoring until Trump ripped it up.

Trump is a petulant child who should be nowhere near the White House conducting American foreign policy. Nor should he be conducting domestic policy either. He’s a failure. He’s the worst president in our history, and it’s not even close. Iran is dragging our country down, and it’s all Trump’s fault. He can cry, whine, and scream about it all he wants. It doesn’t change the fact that he’s a loser, and always will be.
