Air Force Major Calls For Impeaching Trump on CNN

An active duty Air Force Major made an appearance on CNN to call for the impeachment of Donald Trump on Monday as the unprovoked war with Iran spirals out of control and inflation continues to soar at home.

Trump’s “quick” war with Iran has dragged on for six months now with no end in sight. 18 American troops are dead. American bases across the Middle East have suffered untold amounts of destruction. Sailors are suffering food and supply shortages as well as sanitation problems aboard carriers and destroyers, damaging mental health along the way.

Here at home, Trump’s policies are wreaking havoc as gas and grocery prices remain higher as Americans are being pushed to the economic brink. Civil liberties are under assault. And our national debt now stands at $40 trillion as Trump continues to waste and embezzle taxpayer dollars while slapping his name on everything he can.

In response, calls to impeach Trump have only increased across the board even as Republicans in Congress resist demands to do their jobs and act as a check on executive power. Even active duty members of the military are calling for Trump’s impeachment. Air Force Major Jason Watson was arrested at the Capitol for doing so in full uniform, risking a court martial for taking a stand.

On Monday, Watson repeated his call for impeachment on CNN.

“He has failed us. And not only is he a failure as president, but he is also flagrantly violating the Constitution, breaking the law, engaging in rampant corruption, and killing Americans,” Watson CNN anchor Erin Burnett. “And that is unacceptable to me. And it should be unacceptable to all of us. I feel like, unfortunately, many of us have gotten used to this, and we’ve normalized this conduct, and we think that there’s nothing that we can do about it… I want to just inspire people and bring the conversation to impeach, convict, remove. I believe we can defeat this government if we just take a stand.”

Trump has incalculably damaged the United States at home and around the world. Our reputation is in tatters. Our military is weaker than ever before. Our allies have no more reason to trust us. He caters to dictators, and there’s no better example of this than his recent order to scale back military maneuvers with longtime ally South Korea to appease North Korean communist dictator Kim Jong Un.

It is time to oust Trump and this corrupt administration before the damage is irreversible. Failing to do so is not an option. It would only prove that we are no longer a functioning constitutional Republic.
