Just like FIFA did last year, the Republican Party has invented a new award to give to Donald Trump to stroke his fragile ego, drawing a backlash of humiliation, including from former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.
As you may recall, FIFA made up its own “peace prize” to give to Trump after the Nobel Committee refused to award him the real deal, a stunt that drew mockery from around the world. Well, that apparently gave the Republican Party the idea to invent an award that they can also give to Trump.
On Wednesday, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), also known as Trump’s little bitch, unveiled the so-called “America First” award and presented it to Trump while lavishing praise upon him like a slobbering dog profusely licking its owner.
“The president has done so much for the American people, and we want to honor him in some small way, some token of our appreciation for his leadership,” Johnson said. “And so tonight, we have created a new award. We have — we’re going to do something we’ve never done before. We’re going to honor him with a new award that we’ll present annually from this point forward. But he is the suitable and fitting recipient of the first-ever America First Award. We can think of no better title for what that is. That’s just beautiful. Golden statue here.”
It’s yet another embarrassing moment our country is enduring as we face soaring gas prices, a war in Iran, and an economy in free fall. Our allies no longer trust us. Jobs are being lost, and fewer are being added. Government corruption has never been worse. Trump is a buffoon, bumbling and fumbling his way through his second term, and Republicans are pretending nothing is wrong.
Jen Psaki, who served as White House Press Secretary under Joe Biden, absolutely humiliated the GOP for giving Trump a participation trophy.
“Guys, there is even a golden statue. You can’t make it up,” Psaki began. “That’s right, Little Mike Johnson and all those Republicans have just created yet another participation trophy to give their very special boy in the White House to make sure he feels good about himself. And I know what you’re thinking. Did the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize winner really just take home the inaugural America First Award? What are the chances? The same guy who also won the undisputed Champion of Beautiful Clean Coal Award just last month. Is that even legal?”
“It’s like the EGOT for insecure manbaby presidents, all of these awards together,” Psaki continued. “And look, any other adult in this country would feel completely embarrassed by the patronizing way that Trump is showered with fake awards on a near-daily basis. That’s just how Republicans have to treat this president.”
Again, Donald Trump does not deserve awards. He deserves prison. And so does every Republican who is sucking up to him.
