Republican Senator Has Savage Response to Trump Calling Him A ‘Loser’

Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) is DONE with Donald Trump and his incompetence. He’s so done, in fact, that he had some savage words in response to Trump referring to him as a “loser” that even caught CNN by surprise.

As Trump’s ICE Gestapo continues to terrorize the country and the Department of Homeland Security continues to cover up their crimes against American citizens, Tillis called out the administration for discrediting both agencies.

The lack of accountability as ICE violates constitutional rights and outright executes people on the streets has created an increasingly volatile and dangerous situation. It’s a powder keg ready to explode, and it’s all because of Trump’s incompetence, and the incompetence of his top advisor, Stephen Miller, and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

The execution of American citizen Alex Pretti in Minneapolis is a flashpoint that has caused a spike in American impatience and anger with ICE and the Trump regime.

Tillis, who will not be running for re-election this year after announcing his intention to retire from Congress, made his feelings about Trump and his lackeys clear when a reporter noted that Trump called him a “loser.”

“I am thrilled about that. That makes me qualified to be Homeland Security secretary and senior adviser to the president,” Tillis said.

The exchange drew a “yikes” from CNN anchor Dana Bash.

It would have been nice to see this kind of spine from Tillis several years ago, but better late than never, I suppose. His example ought to spur other Republicans into taking action to stop Trump and this authoritarian nightmare. Unfortunately, it seems most Republicans would rather be complicit.

It’s time for Congress to take a stand. Frankly, our country needs to hold Nuremberg-style trials for all of those who have been complicit in this tyranny to send a message to anyone who may think of trying it again. For now, Democrats should think about their own complicity and do the right thing by denying funding to ICE and DHS.
