Trump’s Refusal To Kill Slush Fund For J6ers Draws Ire Of GOP Senator

Despite needing their votes in the Senate to confirm Todd Blanche as the new Attorney General, Donald Trump further angered GOP senators on Saturday by refusing to kill a $1.8 billion slush fund he was hoping to use to keep his January 6th insurrection goons on the take.

Trump has already pardoned the January 6th insurrectionists for their crimes, even though juries found them all guilty. Now he is desperate to keep them on standby to violently attempt to overthrow the government again should the midterm elections this year or the 2028 Election not go his way by creating a slush fund to pay them.

The money was part of a sham settlement Trump agreed to with his own IRS, terms of which also unlawfully bar future tax fraud investigations of him, his family, and their businesses. A federal court recently put a stop to the slush fund, but that’s not enough for Senators John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Thom Tillis (R-NC), who are demanding that Todd Blanche confirm the slush fund is dead in writing if Trump expects them to vote to confirm him as Attorney General.

Trump had told reporters that the slush fund is dead, but took to his social media platform to reverse himself, making it clear that the slush fund isn’t dead at all.

“If Senators Cornyn and Tillis, both upset because I wouldn’t Endorse them (they lost, and quit, respectively!), aren’t going to approve Todd Blanche, then I will keep Todd as Acting A.G., and push hard to get the Anti-Weaponization Bill,” Trump or his diaper mistress Natalie Harp wrote. It will immediately be back on the table.”

Tillis was not amused.

“Despite comments as late as yesterday that the fund is dead, President Trump clearly intends to resurrect the payout pot for punks,” Tillis wrote on his social media account, strongly implying he won’t vote to move Blanche’s nomination through committee if the slush fund isn’t abandoned.

The insurrectionists deserve to be rotting in prison, not getting paid by the federal government. Trump wants this slush fund so he can pay them to do his bidding. They’d basically be his own private army of thugs, although ICE already basically fills that role.

Trump should not get to install his personal attorney as Attorney General, nor should he be able to continue in an Acting capacity. Republicans must grow a spine and block this abominable move or watch as a future Democratic president does the same thing to retaliate against Trump’s abuses and the GOP for enabling them.
