Newsom Just Summed Up “Trump’s America” In 5 BRUTAL Words

The list of ways to describe “Donald Trump’s America” is, frankly, endless.

If one were to try, I believe the words and adjectives would just fly forth and truly never end.

But when it comes to “America’s Favorite Governor” Gavin Newsom, he really only needed five.

Five words were all it took for the California leader to truly sum up “Trump’s America” and undoubtedly strip Donald’s ego straight down to the studs.

“PAY MORE AND ENJOY NOTHING.”

In a blistering post on X this afternoon, the California governor once again went straight for the president’s throat, telling the American people, “You’re already paying more for eggs, coffee, toys, shoes, electricity, furniture, cars, and flights.”

“Now, Trump wants to raise taxes to see the movies.”

“PAY MORE AND ENJOY NOTHING,” he blistered. “That’s Donald Trump’s America.”

Newsom’s fiery warning to the American people came in direct response to President Trump’s wallet-squeezing new announcement (that he oh-so-professionally released on his Truth Social echo chamber, because that’s how presidents apparently do things now) that he will officially be imposing “100% tariff on any and all movies that are made outside of the United States.”

Trump, of course, kicked off his announcement with a tired-out attack against Newsom, who clearly lives rent-free inside that toupe-covered head of his: “Our movie making business has been stolen from the United States of America, by other Countries, just like stealing ‘candy from a baby.’ California, with its weak and incompetent Governor, has been particularly hard hit!”

Back in May, Trump made a very similar proposal regarding tariffs on movies that triggered an almost instantaneous drop in stock prices among multiple Hollywood studios and streaming services.

In response to Trump’s threat earlier this year, Newsom proposed a federal tax incentive that would serve to keep more film production in the United States, which would help offset Trump’s potential tariffs.

It’s not uncommon for Hollywood production companies to outsource a lot of their production outside of the US, as they typically find lower labor costs and much higher tax incentives with international sites compared to what’s on the table in the state of California.

Newsom has attempted to keep more film production in his state by implementing an expansion of California’s Film and Television Tax Credit Program back in July.

It’s pretty safe to say that Trump’s new tariff announcement, which now takes direct aim at one of the very few things average American families had left as a somewhat affordable source of entertainment, will likely go over much like a ton of bricks, even with many of his most devout followers, as a recent, sobering new poll from CBS News late last month found that almost all Americans would describe the US economy as “struggling” and “uncertain.”

Despite the fact that purse strings are getting tighter and wallets are getting thinner all across the nation, President Trump still attempted to paint a picture of success and prosperity in the US economy as a result of his sweeping and resoundingly painful tariffs during his recent U.N. speech.

A fact-check from CBS News said that’s a lie.

CBS found that while a handful of things like eggs, mortgage rates, and gas prices have gone down a bit in comparison to when Trump first took office, the overall prices of things like energy and groceries have exponentially increased, and it’s hitting Americans right where it hurts.
