Trump’s Corrupt Offer To Sell His Truth Social Posts Humiliatingly Fails

Donald Trump’s attempt to sell insider information through his Truth Social posts for a $100,000 fee fell flat this week, as only a handful were willing to pay the price- not nearly enough to make up for the huge losses his platform is suffering.

After one of his staffers got caught insider trading based on information he found on the teleprompter, Trump wasted no time trying to monetize the idea for his own bank account. The staffer was removed from his post, and Trump announced he would be selling early access to his Truth Social posts for a $100,000 fee.

Basically, those who gain early access to these posts can glean inside information they can use to make investments and get richer, because the overwhelming majority of Americans absolutely cannot afford to fork over that kind of money when they need every dollar they can get to afford higher gas and grocery prices.

Trump, like with everything else he does, has been making a big deal of the scheme. As his platform hemorrhages money, he’s desperate to stop the bleeding. But when his scheme became operational, it turned out only a few were actually willing to pay up, especially since those who do could easily be prosecuted for insider trading once Trump is no longer able to shield them from the consequences.

MS NOW financial advisor Ron Insana pointed out the failure on Thursday.

“There’s only 6 to 10, apparently, funds that have signed up for this,” Insana noted. “And so it’s not really pulling in a lot of money relative to what’s being lost at Truth Social.”

Indeed, and there’s a lawsuit Trump has to contend with, arguing that his scheme is a violation of the Constitution because the president’s public remarks should be available to everyone all at once.

University of Michigan economics professor Betsey Stevenson echoed the analysis by pointing out that the lack of takers may also hinge on the fact that Trump is not reliable.

“The unreliability of President Trump and the way he changes his mind, you know, more frequently than he changes his pants is coming home to roost,” she said.

Considering all the times Trump has literally sh*t himself in the Oval Office and on Fox News, it’s more likely that Trump changes his pants more than he changes his mind.

Trump’s social media business, like all of his other business ventures, is a loser. And his desperate attempt to sell insider information to turn the ship around is a humiliating failure. It’s a sinking ship, and only the foolish would want to hop on board as it goes down.
