War Veteran Rep. Seth Moulton: Only A Child Psychologist Could Understand Trump

While reacting to Donald Trump’s mess of an address to the nation on Wednesday night, Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) spoke about the ongoing war in Iran and how only a child psychologist could understand Trump right now.

Trump had teased the address earlier in the day by revealing he planned to talk about himself and how “great” he is, and as usual, he used the moment to stroke his own fragile ego while insisting that his folly in Iran is coming to a close. Of course, Trump has already repeatedly declared victory, but thousands of American troops are amassing in the Middle East for what looks to be a ground invasion.

As Trump spoke, oil prices jumped again, something Trump has bragged about while admitting he doesn’t care if gas prices are increasing as long as oil companies get richer.

After the address concluded, MSNOW host Chris Hayes asked Moulton, who is also a war veteran, for his take on the speech. Moulton did not disappoint.

“Chris, I’m not a child psychologist, so I can’t understand the mind of Donald Trump,” he said, going on to express his deep concern for the lives and safety of our troops, 13 of whom have already died because of Trump’s desperation to distract from the Epstein files.

Moulton pointed out that while the Iraq War was also a folly, there was at least a plan and a process.

“For all the problems with that war, at least there was a plan,” Moulton said. “At least Congress had voted on it. At least the American people had weighed in. At least the generals had come before Congress and put forward a plan.”

There was no plan for this war in Iran. And the consequences have already been costly and will only get worse if Trump escalates.

“When more Americans start coming home in body bags, this is going to not only to just get immeasurably worse for us, for our nation, for our troops. But it’s going to be harder for the president to get himself out,” Moulton said.
