It’s not every day that a Democrat takes the fight to the talking heads on Fox News, and Democratic State Rep. Justin Jones did exactly that during an interview with Sean Hannity on Tuesday.
As we all know, Hannity is one of Donald Trump’s biggest cheerleaders, often defending Trump and smearing Democrats. In a reversal on Tuesday night, Hannity found himself in the awkward position of being called out directly to his face by Jones during a live interview.
“You have that thousand-dollar suit on, you get paid millions of dollars to lie to people,” Jones blasted after Hannity tried to defend ICE agents. “All you do is keep people fearful because you get paid 45 million a year to keep people fearful, so they don’t pay attention to the CEOS taking their healthcare. You don’t care about the American people. You want them to be afraid of immigrants because all you have is fear.”
Jones went on to shame Hannity, noting that his kids will have to live with his shameful role in dividing the country and helping Trump destroy it.
“Shame on you,” Jones said. “God have mercy on you and anybody who believes it’s right, and your children will be ashamed of where you stand in this time, Sean.”
Jones also had words for Trump.
“The threat to the American people is in the White House…He does not care about crime. He hangs out with pedophiles and criminals in Mar-a-Lago.”

ICE has only escalated violence across the country, even attacking peaceful protesters. They have violated constitutional rights and are currently doing Trump’s bidding in Minnesota. The agency is also under fire for allegedly covering up a lynching.
Jones stood up to Hannity and Trump on live television, calling out their lies and shaming them. More Democrats should follow his example. They can start by refusing to fund ICE.
