Get ready to start burning new dollar bills, or at least refuse to take them, because the United States Treasury is preparing to ruin our paper currency by adding Donald Trump’s signature to all the new ones.
In yet another move to stroke Trump’s ego as he desperately obsesses over creating a legacy, his sycophantic Treasury Secretary has announced that Trump’s signature will now adorn all new paper currency going into circulation, breaking a tradition that has spanned more than a century.
Up to now, only the Treasury Secretary’s signature has adorned American paper currency. But that’s apparently not enough for Trump, who now wants his name on our money, too. The official excuse for this obvious vanity project is America’s 250th birthday, which Trump has made all about himself instead of the country.
In the official announcement, Trump’s Treasury suck-ups touted a bunch of his bullsh*t achievements.
“Under President Trump’s leadership, we are on a path toward unprecedented economic growth, lasting dollar dominance, and fiscal strength and stability,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said. “There is no more powerful way to recognize the historic achievements of our great country and President Donald J. Trump than U.S dollar bills bearing his name, and it is only appropriate that this historic currency be issued at the Semiquincentennial.”
The economy is currently in free-fall as gas prices soar across the country and taxpayers lose billions of dollars to fund Trump’s war in Iran. Grocery and utility costs also continue to rise under Trump. The dollar has also weakened due to Trump’s escalating war with Iran. Meanwhile, the government has been declared insolvent by Trump’s own Treasury. Bessent is clearly lying.
Donald Trump is a thieving conman with a thin skin. He yearns for praise, and his sycophants give it to him without batting an eye, making them complicit in America’s downfall. Every bill that bears Trump’s signature belongs in the trash just as he belongs in the trash bin of history.
