Fox News Host Jesse Watters referred to Donald Trump as “Daddy” on Wednesday night while discussing Trump’s obsession with Greenland, only to be sat the hell down by his co-host.
Trump has repeatedly threatened to take Greenland by military force despite the territory belonging to Denmark, a NATO ally. Invading Greenland would be a serious violation of the alliance, which includes France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and several other European nations.
NATO has been the mutual defense bedrock of the free world since the end of World War II, so attacking an ally for absolutely no reason other than to expand American real estate holdings is a major threat to the alliance and a gift to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
On Wednesday, Trump’s obsession with Greenland was a topic on Fox News. But Jesse Watters made it weird and creepy by calling Trump “Daddy.” Seriously.
“Why won’t they give Daddy what he wants?” Watters asked, referring to NATO as “they.”
Watters joins the long list of right-wingers who clearly have serious daddy issues. If any Democrats had referred to former Presidents Obama or Biden as “Daddy,” you can bet that Republicans and right-wing talking heads like Watters on Fox News would be bleeding from their ears and struggling to keep their heads from exploding in disgust.
Thankfully, Watters’ Fox News co-host Jessica Tarlov dropped the hammer on her co-host and his “Daddy” fantasies. “Sometimes Daddy needs to be told no,” Tarlov said. “That’s just the facts on the table.”

The right-wing fixation on Trump as a “Daddy” figure is ironic, considering it is well-documented that Trump is a terrible father to his own children. Hell, he literally wants to have sex with his own daughter. Of course, considering the right’s embrace of pedophilia and child molestation, it doesn’t seem that ironic now, more like fitting.
Regardless, referring to Trump as “Daddy” is cringey, and it should stop, just as Trump’s obsession with Greenland should stop.
