Ever since Trump announced that he chose Gaetz to do his bidding and give him complete control of the Justice Department, Trump’s selected minion has found himself beleaguered by allegations — some new, some old — of sex acts with underage girls. But the newest one seems to be just enough to cause him to finally withdraw himself from consideration.

Gaetz recently resigned from Congress days before the House ethics report on his sex trafficking of underage girls was due to be released. There was good reason for this. Not only did the former Congressman rape an underage girl according to multiple witnesses, some of whom saw it happen, but it seems that was the tip of a very deep iceberg. Despite threats from Trump minions like Marjorie Taylor Greene, it seemed that even Republicans were having a hard time supporting Gaetz. Now, a new report from CNN revealing further details about Gaetz’s love of children is his undoing.

Trump’s now-former AG pick successfully navigated revelations that he “had sex with” an underage girl. And while his fellow Republicans tried their best to stop the release of the ethics report, information began to slip through the cracks — information too damning for even the most hardcore conservatives to ignore. Gaetz paid multiple young sex workers over $10,000 through Venmo and PayPal with weird notes like “love you” and “cartrages.” He also gave one girl a check made out to “cash” with a note that reads “tuition reimbursement.” One witness testified that she saw Gaetz have sex with a 17-year-old and that there were other witnesses. Even that wasn’t enough for the party of “Save The Children.” But now, it seems, Gaetz is confident he won’t receive any support — because it’s that bad.

The new report of Gaetz’s actions is damning. The witness, who was 17 at the time, says that she had a threesome with Gaetz and an “adult woman.” Though the other woman, perhaps to save her own skin, denies the encounter, it resonated with Gaetz so much that when CNN asked him about it, he replied that he was withdrawing from consideration for Attorney General.

Gaetz announced his withdrawal on Twitter or whatever it is called these days, where he says that his confirmation was “unfairly” distracting from the work he, Trump, and crew are doing as they try to dismantle America and sell it off piece by piece to the lowest bidder.

Trump will undoubtedly find someone just as terrible to take Gaetz’s place, but at least America is safe from having an underage sex trafficker in charge of the Department of Justice.
