Jack Smith Memo RevealsTrump Stole Classified Documents To Enrich Himself

Former special prosecutor Jack Smith’s investigation into stolen classified documents by Donald Trump hasn’t been completely buried, as a new memo reveals Trump likely took the documents to enrich himself.

Stealing classified documents is a felony, and Trump was indicted on 37 felony counts in 2023 for taking boxes of classified documents with him at the end of his first term in office and hiding them at Mar-a-Lago.

The government had given Trump time to hand the documents back over, but he refused, resulting in the FBI raiding his resort to retrieve them. Some of the documents were so classified that only a handful of individuals had ever seen them.

Of course, despite having a seemingly solid case, Smith’s prosecution and investigation were obstructed by Trump-appointed judge Aileen Cannon, who even blocked the release of Smith’s final report after Trump sycophant Pam Bondi forced the Justice Department to drop the case. Bondi is also helping Trump cover up the Epstein files.

But now, among a trove of documents relating to Smith’s investigation, is a memo that provides a possible motive for why Trump kept the documents. Naturally, it being Trump, it’s all about the money.

“Trump possessed classified documents pertinent to his business interests — establishing a motive for retaining them,” the memo reads, according to MS NOW.

It makes sense that Trump would try to keep classified documents so he could make money off of them, even if it is illegal to do so. Trump would have access to information that could give himself and his family the ability to make winning bets on the stock market or even sell access to the documents to the highest bidder, including our enemies.

By all rights, Trump should have been prosecuted but his handpicked federal judge shielded him from being held accountable. He should be in prison, and so should Cannon for aiding and abetting Trump’s crimes and obstructing justice, not to mention engaging in a cover-up.

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) blasted the DOJ for covering up Trump’s crimes.

“These new disclosures suggest that Donald Trump stole documents so sensitive that only six people in the entire U.S. government had access to them, that the documents President Trump stole pertained to his business interests,” Raskin said. “This glimpse into the trove of evidence behind the coverup reveals a President of the United States who may have sold out our national security to enrich himself.”
