Obama Foundation Takes Shot At Trump Over Racist Attacks On Bad Bunny

Ever since Donald Trump began attacking superstar performer Bad Bunny for being chosen to headline the Super Bowl halftime show, the Obama Foundation may have been waiting to make one subtle remark to highlight Trump’s racism.

Trump and his cronies have repeatedly attacked Bad Bunny and demanded that he be replaced as the Super Bowl headliner simply because he speaks Spanish and is from Puerto Rico. Of course, Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is an American citizen because Puerto Rico is an American territory.

Trump and his supporters object to Bad Bunny because they are racists. However, the halftime show was a spectacular success, drawing a record 135 million viewers compared to the pathetic 10 million or fewer viewers drawn by Turning Point USA’s counter show featuring pedophile “singer” Kid Rock.

Rather than not watch as he claimed, Trump ended up watching because he threw a massive hissy fit after the show concluded. But it’s not what happened after the show that’s the story here; it’s what happened before.

Before the show, the Obama Foundation posted a message of support to Bad Bunny on social media and took a shot at Trump at the same time. “From one natural-born US citizen to another, have a great Benito Bowl!” the Obama Foundation said. A video montage featured Bad Bunny songs that President Barack Obama has singled out as among his favorites.

The message is clearly a subtle reference to Trump’s obsession with the racist birther conspiracy theory that Obama was not born in the United States. Trump repeatedly pushed the outrageous claim and even demanded Obama’s birth certificate, only to be humiliated when the certificate proved that Obama was born in Hawaii, a US state.

Just days before the Super Bowl, Trump posted a racist meme depicting Obama and his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, as apes. The post drew mass ridicule and outrage. Just days later, the Obama Foundation posted its supportive message to Bad Bunny and reminded the world that Trump is a racist and always has been.
