Trump Ally Who Voted Against Epstein Files Release Has Ties To Sex Trafficking Investigation

The single ‘no’ vote in the House of Representatives demanding that the Department of Justice release the Epstein files is Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.), who has connections with cops under investigation for sex trafficking.

House Republicans have spent months helping Donald Trump cover up his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking ring. But overwhelming public demand for the release of the files and the fact that a victory by Rep. Adelita Grijavla (D-Az.) secured the 218th vote necessary to pass a motion forcing a vote in the House, finally culminated in a 427-1 vote in favor of releasing the files.

One would expect such a vote to be unanimous. And while Trump apparently begged several MAGA Republicans to keep blocking the vote, to no avail, only one decided to keep up the fight on behalf of powerful pedophiles. Higgins was the ‘no’ vote.

So why did Higgins vote against releasing the Epstein files? He says that he voted against it because releasing the files will supposedly “result in innocent people getting hurt.” But it seems more likely that he voted against it because he wants to protect pedophiles and sex traffickers. It doesn’t help that Higgins is personally tied to former police officers who are under investigation for sex trafficking.

According to Mother Jones:

“Some of the former Louisiana cops Higgins has associated with have been accused by law enforcement officials of severe wrongdoing—including allegedly participating in a sex trafficking ring in one case and of committing incest in another,” Mother Jones reported.

One former officer, who even worked as a field representative in Higgins’ district, is Jerod Prunty.

“In 2019, Louisiana police arrested Prunty and nine others following a 17-month investigation while he was working in Higgins’ district office as a field representative,” Mother Jones reported. “Police alleged that Prunty was part of a sex-trafficking ring involving Chinese women who were reportedly forced to live and perform sex acts at local massage parlors.”

Higgins is a former reserve law enforcement officer. He rubbed elbows with these monsters. He may even know others whose names are in the Epstein files. Besides Donald Trump, of course. Did he know about their evil activities? Did he look the other way or help cover them up? Someone who votes to continue a cover-up certainly has questions to answer, and Louisiana voters should demand those answers.
