Do you remember when we warned you that Donald Trump would kill us all if he got re-elected and returned to the most powerful position in the world?
Exhibit A of “We Told You So”:
Earlier this week, a video message was created by six sitting Democratic members of the United States Congress, all of whom are veterans of the military or intelligence community, and publicly released on X by Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI).
The video message was openly addressed to current members of the United States military and featured personal messages from Senator Slotkin herself, as well as Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ), as well as Reps. Jason Crow (D-CO), Chris Deluzio (D-PA), Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), and Maggie Goodlander (D-NH).
In the caption of the video, Sen. Slotkin wrote, “We want to speak directly to members of the Military and the Intelligence Community. The American people need you to stand up for our laws and our Constitution. Don’t give up the ship.”
The group of veterans and sitting congresspeople stated, “This administration is pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens.”
“Right now, the threats to our constitution aren’t just coming from abroad, but from right here at home. Our laws are clear: You can refuse illegal orders. You can refuse illegal orders. You must refuse illegal orders,” they directly warned active US military members before clearly stating, “We have your back.”
The video ends with a powerful montage of “Don’t give up the ship.”

The video message alone serves as a stark and eerie reminder of where this nation is headed under the tyrannical control of Donald J. Trump, as he continually harnesses the power of the United States Armed Forces to do his personal and political bidding, fearmongering against the very US citizens he took an oath to protect and serve.
I wish that were the scariest part.
The video message was released to X on Tuesday morning, and it seems that the president has just now gotten word of it.
This morning, Trump took to his Truth Social echo chamber and reposted a link from The Washington Examiner with the caption, “It’s called SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL. Each one of these traitors to our Country should be ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL. Their words cannot be allowed to stand – We won’t have a Country anymore!!! An example MUST BE SET. President DJT.”
He followed up just minutes later with a second repost of the Washington Examiner’s article, echoing the same sentiment:
Donald seemed to only stew on the matter, as the morning went on; just an hour later, ultimately following up with a public social media post that will one day sit in a shroud of shame in history books studied by our grandchildren: “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!”
The sitting United States president just openly called for six sitting members of the United States Congress to be put to death, for daring to openly defy him.
The remainder of the president’s morning has been filled with a volley of reposts of comments from his followers and supporters, one of which called for the congresspeople to be hanged, undoubtedly giving Mike Pence a bout of PTSD this morning.
Trump’s message landed exactly as he undoubtedly intended with his own rapid supporters, as they wasted no time reading between the thinly veiled lines: this is not JUST about the six democratic congress members who urged our military to follow and adhere to the US Constitution. This is about ALL Democrats, and Trump has only bolstered them, as he spends his morning not working for the American people, but reposting his support for half of the nation to be done away with:
Trump’s comments section effectively reads like a Call of Duty group chat:
The sitting US president and his followers want ANYONE who will not fall in line without question put to death. There is simply no other way to interpret this.
He intends to kill us all.
