Donald Trump is reportedly readying a strategy to seize election infrastructure across the country by declaring a national emergency so he can stay in power.
As poll after poll demonstrated that Democrats have a shot to take back control of the House of Representatives and the US Senate in the 2026 midterm election, a terrified Trump is working with right-wing activists to draft an executive order that would declare a national emergency just before voting takes place.
According to the Washington Post, the excuse to declare a national emergency and take over the election will be based on accusations that China allegedly meddled in the 2020 Election.
“Pro-Trump activists who say they are in coordination with the White House are circulating a 17-page draft executive order that claims China interfered in the 2020 election as a basis to declare a national emergency that would unlock extraordinary presidential power over voting,” the Washington Post reported. “President Donald Trump has repeatedly previewed a plan to mandate voter ID and ban mail ballots in November’s midterm elections, and the activists expect their draft will figure into Trump’s promised executive order on the issue.”
Indeed, Trump wants to ban voting by mail, even though it has been a viable option to cast ballots since the Civil War. It has reduced congestion at polling places while opening up the vote to more Americans, especially those who have more difficulty traveling to a physical polling place.
Trump has also demanded stringent voter ID laws that would go beyond a normal driver’s license, forcing Americans to purchase passports and even disenfranchising millions of women whose married names do not match their birth certificates.
Election experts overwhelmingly agree that the 2020 Election was clean. It certainly sounds like Trump’s order to seize 2020 ballots in Fulton County, Georgia, is part of his plot to declare a national emergency. Is the FBI and the National Intelligence Agency doctoring ballots to look like China interfered in 2020? Because that’s what it’s starting to look like.
