Trump Is A Coward, Robert Mueller Is A War Hero

Five-time draft dodger Donald “Bone Spurs” Trump dared to insult former FBI Director Robert Mueller, a decorated Marine who served in combat in Vietnam, on Saturday after hearing news of his death.

Six months after getting his grandpa panties in a twist over Americans expressing glee that annoying Turning Points USA founder and right-wing extremist Charlie Kirk was killed, Trump gloated on social media about the death of Mueller, who led the special investigation of his campaign’s ties to Russia during the 2016 Election.

“Robert Mueller just died,” Trump wrote. “Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!”

Except that Trump and his campaign were not “innocent.” Mueller’s investigation found that Russia interfered with the 2016 Election and that the Trump campaign welcomed it, with several members of his family and campaign having links to Russia, including a meeting in Trump Tower in which Russian agents offered “dirt” on Hillary Clinton.

The Mueller Report did NOT exonerate Trump, far from it. From election interference to obstruction of justice, Trump and his campaign were most certainly not innocent. But Trump’s disgusting remarks about Mueller are even more sickening because, unlike Trump, Mueller actually served in the military and saw combat in Vietnam.

As a Marine, Mueller led a platoon during Operation Scotland II, earning a Bronze Star for combat valor. After being wounded by a gunshot to the leg in 1969, he was awarded the Purple Heart, a decoration Donald Trump has coveted for himself, along with the Medal of Honor, despite never having served in the military or doing a damn thing to earn either.

Again, Trump cited “bone spurs” in his foot as his excuse for dodging the draft five times. But bone spurs just don’t cut it as an excuse when you consider that professional athletes play through such discomfort all the time. Soldiers fight on through serious injuries, including concussions, knee and shoulder injuries, and back and neck pain.

If Trump wanted military glory, he should have gone to Vietnam instead of staying home to brag about his own personal “Vietnam” of risking contracting an STD during his constant womanizing, which we now know likely included raping little girls.

Trump’s attack on Mueller is disgraceful. It’s an insult to the Marine Corps and to every man and woman who has worn the uniform to serve our nation. Can anyone imagine the outrage if President Obama had insulted a Marine in this way? This is not how a “Commander-in-Chief” should treat those who served or are serving. If Trump had any sense of decency, he would resign.

If the men and women who make up our armed forces today are just as disgusted with Trump’s behavior, they should arrest him and remove him instead of continuing to give him a salute he doesn’t deserve.
