District Attorney Fires Warning At Trump Thugs To Be Ready For Handcuffs

Donald Trump has already strongly suggested that he will send ICE to polling places to interfere with the 2026 midterm election. But Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner and other prosecutors are ready to place any Trump thug in handcuffs if they try.

While Trump can issue pardons for federal crimes, his reach ends there because he cannot pardon state crimes. And in most states, it is illegal to interfere with voters at polling places. You can’t intimidate them or tell them how to vote. You can’t destroy votes you don’t like. You can’t stop them from voting because they’re a woman or a person of color.

Trump’s threat to send armed thugs to polling places violates state law in Pennsylvania, a crucial swing state with some high-stakes races that could decide which party controls the House and Senate beginning in 2027.

If Trump thinks he can rig elections by sending in his cronies, Krasner says they should think twice because they’ll end up in prison otherwise.

“The reality is, he’s [Trump] got a real problem with state court prosecutors. We have gotten together, we are associating with each other, we’re ready to go.” Krasner said during an interview on MS NOW.

“And in the same way that my office and the offices of these other members of this group have successfully prosecuted civilians and also prosecuted law enforcement, we will prosecute federal agents who try to interfere with elections,” he continued. “That’s a crime in almost every jurisdiction, to engage in election interference under state law, and they better get ready for the handcuffs and the jail cell.”

To achieve that result, Krasner is calling upon voters to use their phones to record any suspicious activity at the polls so he and other prosecutors can use it as evidence.
