MAGA Media Host Slams Hegseth For Undermining Military Discipline

After Pete Hegseth let Army pilots off the hook for flying their helicopters to Kid Rock’s Nashville home for a cheap stunt, Newsmax host Greg Kelly took him to the woodshed for undermining military discipline.

The two Apache helicopters hovered over the home of the has-been right-wing “musician” so he could record a video of himself saluting the pilots while ironically standing next to a model of the Statue of Liberty, which has been a symbol of immigration to the United States for 139 years.

Kid Rock posted the video on social media, and the Army swiftly acted by suspending the pilots pending an investigation. But that investigation will not happen because Pete Hegseth killed it and lifted the suspension, which he announced on his own social media page in a post kissing Kid Rock’s a**.

Interfering with military discipline in this way sends a message to the troops that they can basically get away with doing whatever they want as long as it conforms with Hegseth’s and Donald Trump’s agenda. This could include using military equipment such as Apache helicopters as propaganda or even to intimidate those who oppose Trump and Hegseth. It’s a slippery slope that undermines command and safety.

Hegseth’s interference certainly didn’t sit well with Newsmax host Gregg Kelly, who blasted him for it.

“So what if those ‘fly boys’ flew by Madonna’s house and Took a Bow? Or Robert DeNiro. That would Not be cool, right? But it’s just fine for Kid Rockhead? What an amateur move, posting it on Social Media,” Kelly wrote. “Meanwhile HEGSETH runs the Pentagon like he ran his phony ‘non-profits’ —RECKLESSLY. He has No business Micro-Managing Army Units. They MUST Discipline Hot Dog Pilots performing Unauthorized Stunts. Because Next Time something could go Very Very Bad.”

Indeed, rules are in place for a reason, and military personnel should not be using military equipment as they please. If the Army can’t conduct an investigation, it gives all military members a pass to do whatever they want, even if it flouts the rules and the chain of command.

To put it another way, if pilots had hovered their Apache helicopters over a celebrity Democrat such as Bruce Springsteen’s home when Obama was president, don’t you think Republicans would be crying foul if the Secretary of Defense had blocked their suspension and prevented an investigation from taking place? We all know the answer to that one.

It’s just another reason why Hegseth is unqualified to oversee the military.
