Trump Puts Banner Of His Fascist Face On The DOJ

If you were in denial that the Department of Justice wasn’t under Donald Trump’s complete control, a new banner featuring his face being hung on the side of the building should make things quite clear now.

In a move that once again demonstrates his obsession with being a fascist dictator, Trump apparently demanded a banner bearing his image be unfurled on the outside of the Department of Justice building in Washington DC.

The banner was installed on Thursday and drew immediate outrage.

This latest ego-stroking follows Trump installing his name on the Kennedy Center, which he recently closed after multiple artists canceled performances. It now appears Trump intends to gut the memorial to President John F. Kennedy and remake it to his own tacky tastes.

Trump also bulldozed the East Wing of the White House with the intention of building a giant ballroom that he intends to name after himself. In addition, he wants to build a giant arch monument outside of Arlington National Cemetery that would also carry his name. His desperation to plaster his name on everything even included an attempt to bribe Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to pass legislation renaming Dulles International Airport in Washington DC and Penn Station in New York after him as well.

And the banner of Trump’s face isn’t the first he has installed on a public building. Several such banners have been installed. This is what dictators do, and it’s long past time we fight back to remove Trump from office by whatever means necessary. Our democracy is at stake. Our freedom is under threat. Our very lives may depend on it. We can no longer wait as Trump continues to entrench fascism.

The DOJ no longer works for the people. It works solely to protect Trump and carry out his retribution campaign. This banner screams that message loudly for everyone to hear.
